Abstract: In this paper, based on the theory of stochastic differential equations, we study the outer synchronization between two different complex dynamical networks with noise coupling. The theoretical result shows that two different complex networks can achieve generalized outer synchronization only with white-noise-based coupling. Numerical examples further verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the theoretical results. Numerical evidence shows that the synchronization rate is proportional to the noise intensity.
Description: Recently, synchronization of complex networks has been extensively investigated. It should be noted that most previous studies mainly focused on the “inner synchronization”which is concerned with the synchronization among the nodes within a net- work. Except for inner synchronization, we can also observe other kinds of synchronization behavior for complex networks, such as outer synchronization be- tween two coupled networks, which means that the corresponding nodes of coupled networks will achieve synchronization regardless of synchronization of the inner networks.
