Abstract: THIS PROJECT PRESENTS A SINGLE PHASE INVERTER SYSTEM WHICH SERVES AS AN ALTERNATIVE POWER SUPPLY. THE CONVERSION TECHNIQUE USED IS FIRST CONVERTING THE LOW VOLTAGE DC POWER TO AC POWER USING PULSE WIDTH MODULATION (PWM), THEN BOOSTED TO HIGH AC VOLTAGE USING A STEP UP TRANSFORMER FOR CONSTANT OUTPUT VOLTAGE INSTEAD OF BOOSTING THE LOW VOLTAGE
