Title: Comparative Analysis OF Rhodanese In Ripe & Unripe Pawpaw Seed And Mesocarp
Authors: Abiodun, Barnabas Abidemi
Issue Date: Mar-2019
Abstract: Rhodanese was isolated from the mesocarp and seed of ripe and unripe Pawpaw Carica Papaya. Rhodanese is an enzyme which whose primary function is the protection of the electron transport system from the deleterious effect of Cyanide by catalyzing the conversion of the cyanide to thiocyanate a less toxic compound. This project was aimed at analyzing the activity of the rhodanese in ripe and unripe Paw-paw seed and mesocarp.
