Abstract: The need to improve soil fertility and enhance crop production has led to a renewed interest in the use of cocoa pod husk in form of biochar, an organic fertilizer, relative to mineral fertilizer as a soil amendment. The deleterious effect of inorganic fertilizer on the environment has been the enumerated and global effect of CPH.
