Abstract: Vehicle pollution continues to attract worldwide attention and relevance. The danger ‎posed to human health, depreciation of resources, depletion of ozone layer, contributions to acid ‎rain and photochemical smog caused by the pollution due to global rapid increase in the number ‎of vehicles on the road help to force the issue into recognition. This paper analyses vehicle ‎emissions and examines its effects on natural environment. Hydrocarbons, oxides of nitrogen, ‎carbon monoxides, carbon dioxide and other vehicle pollutants emissions were discussed. With ‎regard to automobile there are three general areas of concern: urban pollution, especially in highly ‎polluted cities, depletion of the ozone layers and pollution resulting in disturbance of natural ‎environment. Several methods of effective control of vehicles emissions to meet current and ‎future environmental demands are analysed‎
