Abstract: The focus of this study is on communication in dance using one of the Yoruba dances of the Ondo people in Ondo State. This work is divided into four chapters. Chapter One entails the introduction, Background to study, Purpose of the Study, Significance of the Study, Scope of the study, Limimtation of the study and the Mehodology. Chapter two entails what dance is from different scholars, communication in dance, aesthetics and semiotics in dance. Chapter three covers the history of Obitun Rite to dance, the theatrical elements used, Obitun dance performance (A description), communication in Obitun dance using Aesthetics and Semiotics. Finally, chapter four entails summary, recommendation and conclusion.
